Grateful Day, September 10th, 2015

Today was a good day. I got to have dinner with most of my family. I'm grateful that my friends showed up. Rachael and Theresa were unexpected guests. My mom had a tragic event happen in her life. I am grateful that I was here for her to talk to. The meal was delicious. I'm very grateful for the food we ate. Marina did a ton of prep work and Ben helped a bunch to make tonight special. We had this Mediterranean Chicken dish that Marina makes. It is served with this garlic puree that is amazing. Spicy and lingering. Its really powerful and really good. grilled-chicken-kebabs-575x395 Everyone was in good spirits. We told a joke that my grandma told at thanksgiving one year. I'll recall it to my best: Uncle tells joke: "What did one eye say to the other eye? Between you and me, something smells." Grandma says: "I think it should go, 'What did one butt-cheek say to the other butt-cheek? Between you and me, something stinks.'" We re-told some other old jokes too. Some Helen Keller jokes. Generally just had a good time. The night is winding down and I'm feeling good.
